ABOUT the experience

So I believe everyone is both a beer drinker & an artist, whether you believe you are or not…

I totally believe that creative, artful play is both crazy-ass fun & therapy for the f*cking soul, & regular exposure & participation can change the world…

I also believe if you can order the beer you want, you should ‘paint’ what you want, who am I to tell you what to create, & why limit to using just paint, cuz that would be limiting your expression…

Lastly, I believe that you define what ‘good’ means because we’re all different people with different stories & tastes…

  • you’ll start w/ beer sensory, art observation, & composition basics – gets that creative mind rollin’ & sets you up for intentionality

  • You’ll be introduced to some parallels between the Craft Beer & Art worlds – they both dig creative energy & process & variety & community

  • You’ll have the option to mix your media w/ collage, mostly, on wood, maybe you use paint, maybe you use duct tape & cellophane – paint-ish

  • You’ll be encouraged to focus on fun of the process & not pressure of the product – there’s a saying about ‘it’s the journey’ or something, & note that we’re all on that journey

  • You’ll get crafty af & Make Dope Sh*t – #CuzYouCan

come NOT paint my painting in a fully immersive, open-ended creative experience making a mixed media

piece from concept that’s unique to you – an experience more about what you’re drinking & more about what you’re creating…

This is CRAFT & ARTS – as in Craft Beer & Arts ‘n’ Crafts...

This is Not Your Average Paint Night

A ticket includes one beer, all the materials you need for your piece of wood (3 sizes available!), & some fun ‘guidance’ in a thoughtful, supportive environment safe for your playful, creative dopeness…

_ _ _

For reals though… I can talk ALL NIGHT about why this experience is “Not Average” & what it can positively do for you & society, but it doesn’t do it justice. Pics and Vids, still don’t do it justice. Come out and try it — let’s go!

Like I said above: I believe everyone is a BEER DRINKER and an ARTIST…

& you’ll prove me right.

pic’s of events past

It’s been a wild ride for the 2.5yrs of events that halted, like so much of the world, when the Pandemic hit. And like so much of the world, we are starting over — June 2021 for us.

Take a look at the dopeness of events before the Pandemic, 6 breweries, hundreds of unique pieces made, and many people who didn’t think they could do it.

We’re excited to be rebuilding as California is opening up…you should totes join us!

READ FOR YOURSELF

"This is not your average paint night.  It’s a night for creatives to try something new.  It’s a night for those who aren’t crafty to prove themselves more capable than they imagine.  It’s a night for enjoying craft beer, art, friends." — Melanie Walsh, ClementineCounty.com

"As a fan of beer and art, his energy for putting on his events is exciting, wacky, and incredibly infectious." — Daniel Meza, MEZATRON.com

_ _ _

"Unlike other paint nights I’ve been to, we’re not all painting the same subject. And there’s no teacher telling us what to paint next. It’s completely and totally up to us. Guidelines and instructions are provided, but whether or not you follow them is up to you." — Samantha Chagollan, IHeartCostaMesa.com

"Surprisingly, his spiel about describing the beer you order and tying that to describing a piece of art you might like is something I hadn’t thought of, but it works perfectly." — Greg Nagel, OCWeekly.com

who i am

CRAFT & ARTS is brought to you by Stamp Pop…

Stamp Pop is the art brand and moniker for local Orange County artist Christopher Duke Kent (hi everybody! that’s me in the pic to the right).

With a degree in Landscape Architecture, I did landscape design by day, but does beer nerd things by night (and also by day) and am Cicerone Certified Beer Server who worked at Chapman Crafted Beer in Old Towne Orange (where I first started C&A), and now back in the Craft Beer world formally sending out light at Radiant Beer Co. in Anaheim, practically in the neighborhood where I grew up.

I call myself the “Head Homie” cuz I’m the only homie in this operation, and you can see my work at @stamp.pop.art, and you can see more about his background at www.christopherdukekent.com.
